The mirror shows what time has done, Once bright with vigor, now undone. Health once firm begins to wane, Strength diminished, a subtle pain. We chase the days that we once ignored, The fleeting years we once adored. The New Year dawns, we shout, we cheer, But pause, reflect: what brought us here? For every cheer, a moment's lost, And every gain exacts a cost. Is it wise to celebrate in vain, When days depart, and time we drain? A foolish heart may feast and dance, Yet miss the soul’s eternal chance. For time's a treasure, a fleeting breath, A fragile step towards our death.
