Toxic Love
In the mirror of a fractured soul, Two hearts collide but never whole, In whispered promises that seethe, A love that binds yet makes them grieve. The nights are dark with shadows cast, In every touch, a memory’s past, Embraces cold, with warmth betrayed, In tangled lies, their trust decayed. They dance on edges, frail and thin, Where every fight brings them to sin, A carousel of hurt and plea, In toxic love’s captivity. Yet still they cling to fractured dreams, To whispered lies and shattered schemes, For in the poison of their plight, They search for solace in the night. And though the path is steep and grim, They chase the echo of a hymn, Believing that through storm and strife, They’ll find the peace within the knife.
