Toxic love
Toxic love I found comfort in your toxicity And got used to your love To the point where the kind love these days Is alien to me. I feel like people are talking in foreign languages When they speak about their love life. Their words sound like promises I can’t believe in anymore, Like lullabies I no longer know how to sing. I try to hold their version of love but it slips through my fingers — too soft, too pure, too unfamiliar. I am fluent only in storms and silence, in apologies and breaking points. I wonder if I’ll ever relearn the language of gentle love or if my heart will always crave what hurts it. Because pain became my translator Jealousy became my dictionary And every embrace Was a test I couldn't pass Shotha .N.munyau
