Torn Reflections
Torn Reflection As I sit here, lost in thought, Asking why my life is wrought, With pain and misery, It's hard to see what I should be. At 29, I feel so alone, Wondering why this path I've been shown, Is filled with obstacles that I can't seem to beat, Leaving me feeling like I am obsolete. I wake up each day with a heavy heart, Wondering how I'll make it, where to start. Feeling like a failure, like I've lost my way, And when I look around, I see only gray. And it feels like my world's not right. Life seems so unfair and cruel, Leaving me feeling like such a fool. But in the midst of all this strife, I know I must fight to find my life. To rise above and see the light, To chase away the darkness with all my might. I know it won't be easy, but I'll try, To find the strength to soar up high, To find the happiness I've been seeking, And leave behind this feeling of being weak. I'll reach out for a helping hand, Embrace the people who understand, I'll learn to love myself and be kind, And leave all the negative thoughts behind. For life is precious, despite the pain, And I know deep down that I can gain, The joy and love that I long to see, And be the person I was always mean
