Too loud to be loved?
She was once a child who loved too much, Who filled each room with laugh and touch, Who spoke her mind, so loud, so free, Till the world said "Quiet - thats not to be!" So she learned to shrink, to speak in sighs, To hide the spark behind her eyes, To understand when people left, And call her silence "self-respect". She still laughs loud, dont get it wrong, But it fades quicker than her song, She gives her all, her heart, her care, Hoping someone might see her there. Now she sees a child, with laughter wide, A voice like waves that cant subside, Till someone says "Dont shout that way." And the joy begins to slip away... Her heart breaks soft-she knows that sound, The hush that pulls bright spirits down, So she whispers warm, beneath the crowd- "Dont lose your spark-you must stay loud"
