Too Holy is He
As I stand outside, I come to realize, How great you are, oh mighty sun, How great you are. I attempt to look up, But I am hindered by your—gleaming visage, And I can't bear your presence for you scorch my skin, I seek refuge in the shade, for you are too great. You are too great, You are too great. I can't bear your presence, oh mighty sun, But you are but a mere creation, a mere creation you are, A crumb to the Almighty, a crumb to the Almighty. And to know that you are but a dwarf among the stars, You are but a microbe among the galaxies, Yet your mighty power remains insufferable. Truly—all stars are but crumbs to the Almighty. God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Yahweh El Shaddai, Adonai, Elohim, You are Great. Considering I can't bear the mere sun, How much more unbearable must Your presence be? The Israelites couldn't endure it, Isaiah couldn't endure it, Ezekiel couldn't endure it, No wonder, for He is Holy, Holy, Holy. No wonder angels shout, Holy, Holy, Holy. Our mouths are not worthy of praising you. How will we ever finish praising you? You are too great, oh Almighty Father. I thank you for looking at me, I don't deserve it. All thanks be unto the blood of the Lamb. Alpha and Omega is Christ Jesus.
