too far
I went beyond too far. Of that I should have seen. All the myriad of signs, Staring at us in between. I said words words words, With no actions to back them up. I was delirious in my thoughts, Of having overfilled my cup. I was so ashamed of who I was, By hiding childlike in my hole. It was deeply dug with care, As a waterless well within my soul. You tried to reach for me To help me surface out. I raged and snapped and snarled, Crying my whimpering pout. Squandered are the days gone Of even apologizing now. It's pointless, it's pointless, Of me you disavow. Now my tantrums done, And I can see my own light. Clamoring from my abyss, I choose to end my plight. Perching on the ledge, Of where I looked upon I was. I smile because you cared, Once upon a time just because. Where you've gone now, Is none of my concern. Only that I honor now is Who you once a time fondly yern.
