"Too Close to Touch
" I reach for you in moonlit dreams, where shadows dance and silence screams. You stand just out of fragile reach, a whispered name, a love beseeched. Your heart’s a door locked from inside, a place where love once bled and died. You flinch at warmth, you fear the fire, yet set my soul alight—desire. I trace the spaces where you stand, the empty air that holds my hand. You turn away, you close your eyes, afraid to drown in love’s disguise. I watch the war behind your stare, the longing laced with quiet despair. You crave the touch, the gentle fall, but fear the weight of giving all. And so I burn, a star unseen, a wish unspoken, caught between the aching need to call you mine, and knowing love must walk the line. If only love could heal your scars, I'd pull you close and kiss the stars. But love can’t bloom in soil of stone— I love you still, but not alone.
