Today I Didn't Bathe
Today I didn't bathe. Not because I didn't want to, I was trapped inside this place that houses me. My body refused to get off its bed, It refused to be anything else except weight dead. Today I didn't bathe. I cried and I pleaded for my brain to respond, Yet 1 hour, 2 hours, 18 hours passed without even a hum. I laid like a sack of meat, wallowing in self pity All day, every day because my mind hates me. Today I didn't bathe. I know, I should be ashamed. But the shame won't take away the pains Of knowing the sickness has spread And now my head isn't well again. Today I didn't bathe. I wish I did, I wish I could. And no one unstood That I'm not lazy; just a girl who's mind is sick And heck, there's nothing I could do about it. Today I didn't bathe, And tomorrow might be same. And the day after if I'm still here. You can judge me all you want, But today I didn't bathe because I really just can't.
