To, The Women
This consciousness is owed to a woman Being brought up by a woman It's about time for them to get rightly placed It's about the right of our women The way they are assaulted The way they are laid Where are the voices of protest? Treated as objects, getting played What's the dread? Where are the hands to hold and support? Where are the absent shoulders? If we are a witness to the consequence, Where is the report? How they're out moving so easily? If there are tears for a reason, Let's get them behind the bars! Violated, for treachery Being loved by a woman, cared by a woman, fed by a woman, taught by a woman Where is the respect, where's the love for our women? If they are the life-giver, can we be their saviour?
