To the Lady I love
As I sit alone with my mother, I tell her of the butterflies: O, how! so beautiful and wondered; And fascinated are their wings in my eyes, How the trace of rainbow falls on them; As if a mother it belongs, I expected- Of the colours wearing by their wings And of their beautiful eyes in the fairy land. AS I go about in that lovely land, I watch with wonders as they fly: O! how I want to grasp them by my hand And again to my lover my spirit lie. How much care and love and joy; As if I sit among the stars , Without wearing the seven rainbow's hues; She clings my heart and mind not to fly. As we're about to part from the the tale of dove , I'll tell of what these all about: O! how I fell my sense of love; To the fearless heart who has no doubt , How all my live from its unknown start_ Of her loving heart wishing me be bright; In the future wishing not my tears And again of you I talk, O! my loving mother. .
