She yearns for everyone's approval, For her efforts to be praised, But no matter what she does, She feels they can't see past her face. She wants to be the one who is strong and endures, But her struggles with depression and anxiety, Leave her feeling trapped and unsure. Her past is filled with pain, And it haunts her every day, But she tries to push through, her hopes in saving grace. She used to be the hardworking girl, The one with endless drive, But now she's lost her spark, And it's hard for her to thrive. She feels like she can't do anything right, No matter how hard she tries, And the constant pressure to be perfect, Is what makes her want to hide. But she has too much pride, To let her struggles defeat, So she keeps on pushing forward, Even when she's feeling beat. She knows it won't be easy, And there will be days she'll want to quit, But giving up is not an option, For she has too much grit. So she'll keep fighting, Through the ups and downs, Knowing deep down inside, She's stronger than she sounds. And though she may never be perfect, She'll keep striving for that goal, For she knows her past does
