To My Younger Self
To My Younger Self To my younger self, always in a hurry to grow up, chasing tomorrow as if it were something beautiful. In your running, you reached the end, where you finally saw what was real. A reality filled with exhaustion and fear, a reality where happiness feels like something distant, almost unreal. A reality where even sleep feels counted, and where you learn to eat alone in silence. Oh my younger self, why were you in such a rush to grow? If I could return to the past, I would tell you: slow down, just wait a little longer. Because the world you were running toward, is the very world you would one day wish to escape. My younger self, I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you, I was blinded by the truth of what life becomes. But wherever you are, within all my illusions and memories, you are still my home.
