To My "Forever Lost"
Memories of May 25, still linger on, Our laughter, kisses, and love that was strong. But like a fleeting dream, it vanished in air, Leaving me with tears, and a heart that's bare. July 27, the breakup, a wound that won't heal, I thought it was temporary, but forever's reveal. November 9, the truth, a dagger to my heart, Interested in another, our love fell apart. December 30, our final goodbye, Your words, a sorrow, that made me want to cry. You said move on, be happy, but how can I be? When my heart still aches, and our memories haunt me? You're the reason I smiled, my heart's beat, How can I be happy, when my heart aches to repeat? You said it's over, you won't come back, My heart still waits, forever on the attack. I love you, but can't say it aloud, A bittersweet sorrow, that makes my heart bleed proud. Your sorry won't fix, the shattered remains, Of a love that's lost, and a heart that's in pain.
