To my Brother
Someday we'll talk about it. You and me growing up together. In the same house. In the same chaos. Going through everything together. The people that hurt us. And the people that helped us. I hope I'm one of them that helped you. I don't want to ever hurt you. Hurting you would hurt me. I've seen you cry before. You don't do that often. It broke my heart. I remember the words you said. I remember your shaky voice. "I don't know why I'm crying." It'll be okay brother. I know we're drifting apart. But no matter the distance, I promise I've got your back. You're quite a ways away. You're going on to greater things. I'm not even where I want to be. But look at you. We said we'd be truckers together. We'd be in the marines together. Now you're in boot camp, Reaching that goal without me. But I'm proud of you. I don't know how many times I've said. But I need you to know, I love you and I always will. I hope you sleep well at night. Dream of me and let me know What you think of me, sometime. Am I kind or am I cruel?
