To A Cherished One
To a cherished one "In whispers of fate, I stumbled upon you, A mistake, a misstep, yet my heart felt true. In eyes that shone bright, I saw a love so real, But alas, our love was born from a mistake I must conceal. Your touch ignited flames that burned like the sun, Melting fears, soothing wounds, our love had just begun. Against all odds, I believed our love would forever be, A bond so strong, it would set our hearts free. Our love, a beautiful sin, forged in the fire of chance, A bond so strong, yet tainted by circumstance. I must let go, though it tears my soul apart, To fix the cracks within, to mend my broken heart. Perhaps someday, our paths will cross again, And maybe then, our love will have a chance to sustain. But for now, I must bid adieu, and walk away, Leaving our love to chance, and the whispers of what could've been to stay. Farewell, my love, may fortune smile upon your face, May time heal the wounds, and guide you to a better place. And though I'll carry you in my heart, forevermore, I'll learn from my mistake, and rise above, to love once more."
