Tin Man
Tin Man by Jack A.S. Dunce I just feel nothing; I'm an empty hole I cry without sadness; smile without joy What did I lose? My heart? My will? My soul? I saw you cry as you bore out your soul But I just sat there like a wooden toy I just feel nothing; I'm an empty hole I saw kids playing carefree like wild foals I walked past a sight I used to enjoy What did I lose? My heart? My will? My soul? Thrown under the bus; all gold turned to coal I should raise hell; all it did was annoy I just feel nothing; I'm an empty hole Cared for without conditions, none at all I should feel loved but I just see a ploy What did I lose? My heart? My will? My soul? Impale me through the heart with a steel pole I may no longer bleed blood but grey alloy I just feel nothing; I'm an empty hole What did I lose? My heart? My will? My soul? (c)pgmr 12/27/2023
