Time's Puzzle

We live in the present, but think of the past And wonder about the future, that will forever last Are we making memories, or creating what's new? Are we shaping tomorrow, or just living through? The past is gone, but memories remain The future's unsure, but we hope and we gain The present is now, and it's all we can hold Where past and future meet, and our stories unfold Are we making past or future? It's hard to say Maybe we're doing both, in our own way Every moment we live, every choice we make Is shaping our past, and creating our future's sake. ---
