time travel
I had a dream we were drinking iced tea not a worry to be seen in our smiles, then we began to be reliable. now its just you and me not another single thing to mention, we ain't done until we hear its getting dark hun. we say good bye still laughing because we had so much fun. now its just me in 2023 wishing my mind could be free from all the worrying. If I had a time machine I would go back to when we were happy, when it was okay to call our parents mommy and daddy. I wanted to replace you but our bond is unrelatable, I go out looking for someone else but I can't even look because I haven't found myself. I'm searching and searching but I just start hurting, my words start blurting, my vision goes blurry. tears falling down my face when can I move on past these gates, when can I forget this place. when can I travel back and be happy when I can go inside after swimming and fall asleep knowing my parents check in on me while I'm napping.
