Time
Time, We think we have it but we don't We think we can control it but we can't It has never slowed down or sped up anyone who dared to ask It has always been on the move and never stopped Time has brought joy to families but pain to individuals It has either made ones world or destroyed it completely It has taken or given but never left In the midst of pain five minutes feel like hours In the midst of joy two minutes feel like seconds Yet all I ask is for my joy to last a little longer I sit and wonder if I could go back in time Fix things, do things, change things Spend more time with the people who meant the most to me But I'm stuck in the present Knowing my time has passed, I need to look to the future As things change or remain unchanged So i sit and speak about a day called tomorrow A tomorrow that will never come A tomorrow that isn't guaranteed A tomorrow that will remain unseen and untouched by the grasp of humanity So I wait I wait for time to decide my fate
