Time
I'm tired of being the "right person, wrong time" I intentionally changed your alarm I knew you were always 4 minutes late to work so I made it earlier I knew you always under cooked your food so I set the timer ahead all you told me to do was wait all I did was wait why do I have to be "the one that got away" why can't I be the one that you run to I wasn't even running that fast so when you ask why I loved you why do I wear accessories like rings, necklaces, earrings, my heart on my sleeve because I do, and I look good with it I wanted us to have that Orpheus type of love where we can't choose to look back I wanted someone I could play for even though I'm not a believer someone I could spoil because what cost is memory but I guess I loved wrong we weren't running out of time you were just tired of reading the clock.
