Time
Time did not halt, and my face, each lived second shows. I gaze into the mirror and smile, weep; the memory of my past is joy and sorrow both. I realize that life is to soar free or be anchored in pain. Moments when we're atop the world, and others when breath is hard to gain. No complaints from me, for each lived moment gave me memories that forever sail the horizon of my soul, filled with good feelings, tender and brave. Other moments are memories that ache, but they taught me to embrace lifes's wave. Time flows and nothing nor anyone can restrain. and one day we'll reach our journey's end, hoping the scale of memories lean toward happiness, not disdain. The dance of existence knows no end, each step a destiny, each twirl a chance. I accept life's retreating and I flow with grace, knowing that every end is also a dance. And when the sun sets on the last day, may my heart be light, my spirit at ease. May the memories I leave behind be seeds, blooming in gardens for those I loved, a perpetual breeze.
