Time
Between today's yesterday and yesterday We hope for something Yet beauty is a tale lived for a minute Before you know it has taken another form Everyone says the former was childish Believe me no one likes bloated tummies and emotional cyclone Truthfully we all miss our knee scratches with hearts that held no grudges We miss the I love you's that were verbs not nouns We have grown now into man and woman Leaving the name "iwe" preferring "imwe" Physics never lied the higher you go the pressure increases We have become Heartbreakers knowingly or not We have learnt to cut people off and become very mean This tale I will trade it forever with anything We walk around with fake smiles and hate in our heart We are all zombies of the humanity we knew We walk with bruised heart and clean knees We try so much to love and be happy Forgetting to live and disengage in chasing time We are willing to settle for anything as long as we can handle the pain It's like the time matrix has shifted and we live in the shadows If I talk about intimacy we all just doing it for leisure not to make bonds We despise real love and settle for sexy and lies Anyway that's what time serves us Sold our choices to fake joy Day 9
