I tried to make them smile, To be there for them, even for a while. But in the end, I faded fast, Invisible, a shadow of the past. I wanted to be the one they call, Yet, I feel I’ve lost it all. A voice that no one seems to hear, A heart that trembles with its fear. I’m lost in thoughts that twist and turn, Wondering where it all would burn. I tried so hard to make things right, But now it feels like endless night. I hate myself, I can't pretend, That I’ll ever be enough again. A precious few, but I’m unseen, Stuck in a place where I’ve always been. I want to go, fade away, Lost in woods, with skies so gray. Would they notice if I were gone? Or is this battle just too long? I’m not a victim, I know it’s just me, The one they left, the one they’ll never see. I’ve been the problem, it’s all too clear, But time to make it easier, for them and me...
