Time
Withering at its touch, we fear the hand of Fate Oh the hand of Time All quivers at its approach Death - at Time's insistance - nears at every stroke So time stays cold and lonely scaring all it knows I long to ease the pain this lonely soul feels So I accept Time's curse As it's main appeal I welcome Age to come And wisk my Self away As life and death collide I'll look Time in the eyes "You taught me of patience And doing what must be done that rushing loses time And being present wastes none. That living in the moment is the breath of joy itself Taking steps NOW for the future builds generational wealth Without your constraints I'd waste away my life And find I'm left to feel only bitter and contrite." I'd wave a friendly hand as I greet the next chapter. Wishing my friend Time- a happily ever after.
