Tides of Love
Ho... ho... Slowly breathing in, 1, 2, and 3, The breeze from the sea set my spirit free. Hands reached out to capture the feel, But the magic slipped, refusing to seal. The aroma of food teased my hungry nose, Yet your face appeared, like a fleeting ghost. Was it an illusion, or could it be real, Caught between worlds, unsure how to feel? I glanced up, stars invaded my heart, Piercing through darkness, a celestial dart. The scene, a wonder for eyes to behold, A story of love in whispers told. Walking down Marine Drive, hoping for a ride, No auto in sight, just the ocean's tide. Hours passed, waiting under the sky, Home felt distant, yet dreams made me sigh. I struggled for a way back, lost track of time, Ended up at a spot past closing time. But hunger couldn’t burn me, nor make me weak, Thoughts of you kept my heart at its peak. Such is the tide, the rhythm of air, In love’s embrace, everything feels fair.
