Ticking Away
Bile fills my lungs and burns my throat, This anger left I cannot bear I am left with these grotesque feelings, That chain me to despair I fear something I cannot see, A loneliness left inside of me I know, for my suffering, you do not care I know that when you sleep, You don't dream of me And that when you eat, You won't think of me That when I shine, You refuse to feel a thing I know these to be immutable facts Faults that fill my mind But I wasn't at fault you know that to be true I don't love you I am only stuck Frozen in a memory of what we use to be
