" through the time" p¹
Are we traveling, or just drifting slow, To a place where once we used to go? To those days when skies were wide and free, When the whole world belonged to you and me. I get restless—why did time betray? Why did those golden hours fade away? I feel too much, then not at all, And sleep won't come till the shadows fall. Life spoke of sweetness, sugar and sun, But not even lemons—gave us none. I made a vow that I'd evolve, But some truths are too deep to solve. I try to do right, I try to stand, But something pulls back at my hand. I chase the laughter we used to know, When love was light, and time moved slow. Do you recall how sure we were? That no love could ever feel more pure? Now words fall silent, misunderstood, And fear has rooted where joy once stood. I live with doubt, and rise with ache, The weight of memory hard to shake. If we can't fix the pain we've known, Then take my hand—we're not alone. "Let's walk through time",not for what's ahead, But to trace the dreams our young hearts said. There's nothing left for us to prove— So close your eyes, let your spirit move. Even if we tried, we can't go back, The train is gone, it's off the track.
