Through the Shadows
The shadows lengthen, a heavy, chilling cloak, Draped over spirit, a soul that's lost its spoke. A silent battle, waged within the mind, Where hope lies shattered, and peace is hard to find. The weight of darkness, a crushing, constant strain, A whispered sorrow, a persistent, pouring rain. The vibrant colors, dulled to shades of gray, The joy once felt, now silently slips away. But even in the depths, a flicker starts to glow, A tiny ember, refusing to let go. A breath of courage, a whisper soft and low, A gentle hand, to help the spirit grow. Reach out for sunlight, though the path seems steep, Seek solace in connection, secrets you can keep. In gentle moments, find a quiet space to heal, Let kindness nurture, wounds that time reveal. For strength resides within, a power yet untold, A resilience waiting, brave and strong and bold. Though darkness lingers, light will find its way, To guide you onward, to a brighter day.
