Through the Fog's Veil
The breaking of darkness, a light piercing through the midnight veil of sleep. Awakening a frightened boy, snuggling under his arms, the soul reawakens in the absence of black mist found in lost dreams. The salt of the earth is found within; it wraps around in nutrient-dense fodder. As a child touches his new toy, a smile ensues— innocence alive in their connection. The memory of life is ever standing. It never ceases to exist—test me! It never closes its generational eyes—witness me! It breathes with full lung capacity—feel me! In its emergence from the primal fog, the howl reverberates through abandoned corners where death conquers faith. It breaks the comfort— a million birds flap their trimmed wings, an unsettled flight exhausting itself into a panting sleep. Awake me, that these dreams are only nightmares; plunge me into complete surrender, as I am carried away in the ebb and flow of time.
