Three Hymns
I sang three hymns for the faraway land, A land of our own surrounded by sand, Blues overlap as the salty breeze chime, Giggles and laughter all the time. Three hymns too long did I sang, By the second hymn the bell already rang, The hymn should have reached its conclusion, Our paths rendered in darkness and occlusion. But we reached until the third, Imagine that, I thought my prayers were heard, But a fan fiction in my head, so absurd I wish I could drown in your every word. Still the brightness in the tilt of your lips, Would have me giggling bound to your grip, Like a child pining for that first snow, To be by your side, as slowly we grow. But time never fails to do its work, As it throws my heart to the ground with a smirk, Isn't it funny? The domino effect, Just one milimeter push to reject, No longer an option to select.
