Thread That Binds
Thread That Binds by Jack A.S. Dunce It is said that we are tied Each of us to another By a red thread that guides Our pathway to each other Across the oceans and seas As the clouds ride the breeze A gentle tug on the heart To go to a place on a whim A nag that there's some missing part But not arms, legs or any limb It's a thing known but still unknown An urge so deep, it's in the bone Days, months, years, or decades In some tales, a millennia This red thread has weaved its braids Amidst all of life's hysteria Between two souls drawn to one call That even the world would seem small A sad thought, though: if the expanse Extends through the vast universe, Would there still even be a chance for this taut red thread to traverse Such a void? For this is such a case: Across space, I've felt your grace ©️pgmr 01/22/2024
