THOUGHTS THAT REFUSE TO SLEEP
Late night silence, soft and slow, thoughts begin where the dark can grow, time slips past in a quiet stream, lost somewhere between thought and dream. The ceiling listens, still and wide, holding echoes I try to hide, every question I never said circles gently inside my head. My heartbeat hums in a steady rhyme, filling the spaces between each time, sleep feels close, then drifts away, like something that refuses to stay. The dim light flickers across my phone, yet somehow I still feel alone, the world is quiet, the night is deep— and all my thoughts forget to sleep.
