Thoughts of Death
Death is like a broken clock that you never cared to fix. You never think about it until you think about the one you miss. Death is like a burning fire rushing through the sky. You don't realize how dangerous it is until it begins to eat you alive. Death is like a raging wind rattling your window outside. You know you're safe and sound inside, but you still feel the need to hide. Death is like a child monster hiding under the bed. It's doesn't exist in reality, but it ruminates in your head. Death is like a winter that's frigid black and cold. You want to walk towards the light, but you have nowhere to go. Life is like a summer trip that you don't want to end. Once it's over, you wish you took more time with loved ones to spend. If you don't relate to the poem, you might be too young. Or maybe you just don't know what it's like to feel this numb. Hug your loved ones, take your chances, and remember those who have already left. Because no one ever truly knows when they'll take their last breath.
