This Isn't Just About Stuffies
We were talking about my stuffed animals It's a nice collection truly You asked about the wolf stuffy you bought me My throat tightened as I spoke the next words I got mad I got rid of it A flash of something crossed your eyes Too quick for me to tell what exactly Sadness? anger perchance? You shrugged an oh well Looks like I'll have to buy you another stuffy then I shook my head no no it's fine You stopped me Only you could do that You were set in your way I'll expect a stuffy from you any day You know I love stuffed animals You always listen to me babble about them Smile when I show you ones I want You huff a laugh whenever I talk about them I'm sorry I got rid of the wolf It made me hurt while I did it But it hurts having it A fragment of my past that stung I don't have the heart to get rid of you though
