This Glass Of Payne
I'm a tiny fairy caught in a jar, Trapped, confined, with wings that mar. Once free to dance upon the breeze, Now confined to this glass disease. I flutter and buzz, seeking escape, But the walls around me, they reshape. My dreams of flight, now distant and far, As I remain a prisoner, this tiny star. In this world of glass, I'm but a speck, Yearning for freedom, a life to check. The world outside, a vibrant place, But inside these walls, I'm lost in space. I watch the world through this fragile dome, Longing for the chance to freely roam. To feel the wind rush through my wings, And taste the freedom that nature brings. But here I am, a captive sprite, A reminder of dreams held tight. In this jar, I'll bide my time, Until fate grants me my chance to climb. For even in confinement, hope remains, A beacon of light amidst the strains. I'll wait and dream, and never despair, For someday, I'll break free from this snare. So, dear jar, hold me tight if you must, But know that my spirit won't be crushed. I'm a tiny fairy, but my dreams are vast, And I'll soar beyond, your Payne of glass.
