This Ache, This Love
Love is when nothing is okay, And everything is hurting you, day by day. A constant ache, a searing, tender fire, Yet still you want the same one, your sole desire. The moments spin, a ceaseless, looping stream, You can't stop thinking, lost within the dream. Hoping they also do, just a fleeting thought, Even when you know, they're stars you haven't caught. From distant soil, they shine, so far above, Yet still you reach, compelled by this strange love. The self-convincing whispers, "You are past, you're free," But then the phone call, or the text, inevitably. This push and pull, this relentless, yearning art This is love, a deeply wounded heart.
