Thinking Like an Adult at 16
I have been told Time and time again By more people than I can count I think in a very mature way Compared to those my age I can only look and smile Tell them I hear that a lot I wish to tell them I write poetry For them to hear As a way to excuse my words yet youthful look For my body is but a child But my mind is older than even me The way I speak and think is apparently different than most But it's also apparently good Oh to think like a child just for a day Us something I shall always dream about Oh to have you tell me what you think I have been told I am very wise for my age I have yet to decide if that's truly a good thing
