Things were Different
I thought things were different You told me you loved me, we had our late night talks, and you wanted to be around me. We were close, we cuddled, and we laughed at jokes that only made sense to us. I thought things were different You asked me to walk you home, we had deep conversations, and you asked me to stay. But I'm the fool You did not reach out. You ignored my jokes, but made me into yours, and you were not there when all I needed was a hug. I'm not mad at you. but at myself I should've known you would not change. It was all just an act that I've fallen for several times before. One that you put on only when it's just you and I. You give me hope just to rip it away. I thought things were different
