Things they weren't suppose...
Times were never meant to show The tears I've cried, the moments low When weakness seized me, uninvited guest And stabbing words left me shattered, unblessed My screams were muffled by deafening silence deep Faces turned away, leaving me to weep In crowded rooms, I wore a mask to hide But anguish burned, a fire that wouldn't subside Every word I spoke was twisted, distorted pain Danger lurked in every sentence, every strain Even whispers to friends were met with fear As if my truth would bring them near to tear I shared my story, a girl's painful past But it was discarded, like a broken cast The wisdom I sought only brought me shame And words that once healed now cut like a flame My soul is shadowed, lost in darkest night Searching for solace, but finding only fright"
