"thin blankets"
On a winter's night so cold and bleak, I lay in bed with a chill that won't peak. My blankets thin and worn with age, The cold seeping through, I feel like a sage. I try to curl up and tuck them in, But the cold creeps up, my patience thin. I long for warmth and cozy embrace, But these thin blankets won't leave a trace. They remind me of times long gone, When life was simple, and I was young. But now I crave more than just memories, I need warmth and comfort, my heart pleas. Yet, as I lay here shivering and cold, I realize these thin blankets are more than gold. They may not keep me warm all night, But they remind me of life's simple delight. Of hot cocoa, fireplaces, and childhood dreams, Of snuggles with loved ones, and happy streams. So, I'll embrace these thin blankets with grace, And cherish the memories they embrace.
