Thick Smoke Lingers
Thick smoke lingers Across this battlefield As the ashes fall The flames rise In the pale moon light The fire slowly dies but The scars remains Under the tissue Cold blood runs dry Dissolving all the broken hearted In a lost forgotten language That nobody remembers The emptiness in me They only remember their pain As being apart Of who they Standing against the wind Thick smoke lingers Across this battlefield As the ashes fall The flames rise In a pale moon light The fire slowly dies but The scars remains Under the tissue The well runs dry Making no sound We say goodbye
