In this town within my head, the streets are silent, draped in dread, A ghostly throng, their whispers sown, where once my brightest thoughts had shone. I stand amidst the spectral crowd, their haunting gaze, a heavy shroud. They beat me down, these ghosts of mine, with chains unseen, they bind and twine, A weary fighter, once stood tall, now faltering, I start to fall. The battleground of mind's expanse, I've fought too long, lost the dance. The strength to rise, to stand, to fight, dims like day succumbs to night.
