There's no You in Us
Mid-Autumn, this time of year, when you and I... started falling like maple leaves, except that we're not colored, not red, orange, and yellow. No, we're not colored at all. We are an undecided hue between black and white. We were so carefree then, both beauty-stricken by fall, walking side by side, awkwardly brushing each other's hands, humming a lively tune in the lazy hours by the shrine. The fallen leaves are swaying like dandelions in the sky, yet your eyes, your eyes so empty, so cold are the stares, if not the glares, just like the chilly wind of fall. That place we once were, was the canvas of a brilliant masterpiece, in all its shining glory, maple leaves breathing life itself, painting the colors of love, of us, except that us... there's No You in Us. ©reddragonfly⚘
