There is no piece in the World
In a world that professes unity, we're starkly divided, A facade of harmony, while hearts are derided. We pilfer from one another, deceive with cunning guile, And slaughter each other, with a deadly, heartless smile. We've forged the instruments of mass destruction's might, Not for the beasts of the wild, but for human plight. We wage wars for power, for dominance, and for fear, A never-ending cycle, with no peace drawing near. The affluent hold sway, their voices loud and clear, While the impoverished suffer, their pleas dismissed, their tears. The world is awash with hatred, neighbor against neighbor aligned, We're enemies to ourselves, in a world so blind. One sows disease for profit, while another's life is drained, You can't discern the thoughts of the one beside you, in this world so strained. The rich amass more wealth, while the poor sink deeper in woe, The devil sows discord, as we succumb to hatred's fiery glow. The one with bread hoards it, fighting to preserve, Unaware that unity could bring a more abundant reserve. The youth are lost, confused, and morally adrift, Their minds polluted, as the enemy's agenda is thrust. The media spreads evil, a subtle, insidious might, We prioritize appearances
