"Thee sister"
Fairest maiden, found in secret place, Where shadows dance and whispers fill the space, A senior thou, in wisdom's hallowed hall, And I, a humble sophomore, with heart that doth enthrall. Our words did flow, like sweetest melody, As I, with flute, did play, and thou didst heed, Thy smile, a radiant beam, that chased the night, And in thine eyes, my heart did take flight. Thou weep'st, and I, with gentle hand, didst lend A shoulder true, where tears might freely spend, Thou smiledst, and I, in joy, didst bask and thrive, A bond 'twixt us, like sisterly love, didst strive. Thou art the one, who doth confess and cry, I, the listener, who doth lend a willing ear and sigh, I play the flute, and thou, with rapt attention, dost attend, A harmony of hearts, that in each other's love doth blend. In thee, I see a kindred spirit true, A bond 'twixt us, that doth transcend the years anew, Though grades may part us, our love doth know no bound, A maiden from the shadows, with a heart that's found.
