In the depths of night, when all is still and quiet, My restless mind takes flight, like a moth seeking light. Theatrical tales dance in my head, vivid and bright, And sleep, alas, eludes me with all its might. Oh, the allure of the stage, where dreams come alive, Where actors paint emotions, and stories do thrive. In vibrant hues and melodies, they captivate the soul, Leaving my heart yearning, aching to be whole. From Shakespeare's intricate lines, so eloquently spoken, To the enchanting music of Broadway, a spell unbroken, The beauty of theatre, an endless symphony it weaves, Yet, sleep eludes this heart, as my imagination heaves. I ponder the sets, a grandeur beyond compare, The costumes, ethereal, floating through the air, The magic in the spotlight, as it casts its radiant glow, Leaving audiences breathless, with awe and wonder aglow. But tonight, as thoughts keep me from slumber's embrace, I find solace in the musings, in this sleepless grace, For the beauty of theatre, oh so wondrous and rare, Is worth the sleepless nights, the dreams that we share. So onward I roam, in this realm of wonder and awe, Where dreams and reality seamlessly draw, And though sleep may elude me on this moonlit night...
