The World We Live In
We live a world where love has become lust, Where our bodies and faces determine our future, Where mom's would say, "You'll have to be on a diet, you can't ruin your perfect skin and your petite shape." Where dads would say, "How would anyone want you if you're ugly?" Where siblings would grow hate and jealousy towards you because you're getting all of the 'attention', Where teachers would judge you based on your looks, Where family members pretend's to care, Where uncles and older cousins sexually assaults you and act as if you're a liar, Where you're friends, pray for your downfall, Where you fall in 'love' only to be used for your body, Where all this catches up to you, so you develop anxiety and depression, Where your parents start's to hate you Where you start using substances to numb your pain, Where you fall in 'love' again, but nothing gets better, you're not sure if it's love or lust, Where you'd want to forget your past and your mistakes, Where you'd want to run away and start fresh, Where all you want is for this to stop, Where all you want is to breathe, Where all you want is to just end it all, and for good, because you were never needed here. But all you needed was to be loved correctly.
