The world in us
I'm trapped in a world of hurt, where emotions shift like sand. Today's joy can become tomorrow's pain. I'm a constant battleground, where past traumas resurface, making me question my worth. Healing requires risky vulnerability, but what if it leads to more harm? Our world is scary, but the one within us is even more terrifying. How do we mask our anguish and traumas with a smile? Is it acceptance or denial? For me, it's fear - fear of exposing my vulnerable side, fear of being hurt again. I'm scared of love, scared of giving myself up only to be cut down. I'm left questioning the worth of everything. We come whole, but others cut us down, piece by piece. We search for our other half, hoping to be complete, but are we enough for the next person? ~JM Pluto
