THE WORDS OF A DRUNK LOVER
At a point, I hated myself. I cursed me for loving you. And thinking of you shred me, Each thought felt like a sharp strike. But tonight, for the first time, Perhaps it is the liquor speaking; But I wrote this before it faded. They say truth lives in drunken lips. But I penned down the words, of a drunk woman who once loved. loved the you you offered. The words of a drunken lover: I'm happy we tried this phase, I'm glad we walked that phase. I'm happy of the us I see today, but the last words of a drunk; Drunk with liquor, love, and hate: I scorn you, Dearest Lover, she wasn't worth it.
